Elizabeth Green

Designer

About Me

Hello!

My name is Elizabeth (lizzy) Green a London based Designer with a passion for creating and learning new things. I graduated from the University of Lincoln in 2014 with a Bachelor of Arts in Graphic Design and since then I have had the chance to work on a multitude of projects including branding and its gradual development, advertising and marketing across both digital and print, editorial, responsive web design and some animation and video editing.

Personally I would say my main strengths lay within the more visual side of design, creating engaging informed visuals for both print and digital formats. Along with my visual design capabilities I would say I have a solid secondary skillset in using scss(css) and html, enabling me to deliver responsive websites, email templates and landing pages. Aside from my professional life, in my personal life I love to creatively challenge myself and really enjoy learning new things and developing existing skills whether that be learning a new language or getting crafty in a workshop!

Portfolio

With almost 10 years of industry experience working on both B2B and B2C projects, I have had the opportunity to work on a wide collection of projects.

Some examples include:

LinksvsMrBeast

Marketing

Joining a larger marketing team as a Freelance Designer, in preparation for their upcoming partnership with YouTube star MrBeast, it was my task to creatively artwork a range of marketing collateral ready for the teams upcoming retailer presentations. Using a combination of Adobe Creative Suite and Google Docs/Power Point and working directly with the team I delivered a one pager as well as designs for a larger presentation in three languages for the EMEA market.

Partnering with such a large name, I used the iconic branding and incorporated key social media assets into the design, creating a structure that meant I was able to retain as much information as possible while displaying it in a more digestible and engaging way for both the clients and their intended audience, being finalized in a way that the client could later make content changes if and when required.

Saletti

Branding

Working on project saletti.com, to begin with I first created the initial concepts for the site in terms of wireframes, logo and brand personality. Translating from the popular Finnish slang term for "certain, sure and guaranteed" I explored a few variations of styles but one that really stood out to me was the idea of a pirates treasure trove, because whats more secure than a hidden cave of gold!

Once given the green light, I had the opportunity to take charge of a small sub team to assist me with the development and build of the project, allowing me to further develop my art direction and leadership skills as well as giving me the opportunity to divert my time and attention into finding ways to add in the smaller details of the branding ensuring the delivery of a personality rich site which later went on to prove incredibly successful for the company in it first few months of being live.

Mammona Kasino

Character Creation

In the initial concept stages of online casino Mammonakasino.com, it was my responsibility to create an adaptable, approachable, fun character that could be the face of mammona that would help to really set the casino apart from its competitors. After brainstorming various animals and creating quick mockups, as a team we landed on the idea of a friendly fox. From this I then immediately set to work on creating a few options and with the help of Krea AI I was able to create a character that felt friendly, cheeky and engaging. Once the overall visual style and look was approved I then went onto create alternative versions of the fox so that the character could be tied to different areas of the sites as well as the games directly for example wearing an Indiana Jones style outfit to coincide with the game "Riche Wild's Book of Dead".

OneUp Affiliates

Branding and Web Design

When initially starting this project for OneUp Affiliates, the company provided a previously chosen grey scale logo. Working with the affiliate marketing department and key stakeholders I was able to explore a couple of options for the team which led to the development and creation of the main style and overall theme of the brand. Once the main style was established, I then went on to create initial wireframes, bespoke assets and corresponding marketing materials which once approved I then went on to build in html and scss. During the build I loved adding slight animations in, helping to create a more kinetic and engaging website with a clean identity that oozed personality that the clients were extremely happy with.

promotional email design

Email Marketing

In the run up to the launch of online casino firevegas.com, it was my responsibility to create a versatile and universal email template that would both announce the launch of the site as well as be interchanged with new and exciting offers that would be sent directly to the customer in the future. While keeping the overall template simple, I made sure to use alternating fonts to highlight essential parts of the text. For the visuals, after exploring various styles I found the most impactful option to be the idea that incorporated the negative space of the logo in a way that created a portal effect to really draw the customer in at a first glace and which could also be converted to a simple gif adding slight movement to the imagery. Overall both myself and the clients were incredibly happy with the outcome of the project and from the feedback it was very successful.

Animation and Video Editing

As part of the redesign for online casino Grand Ivy, one of my tasks was to create a short promotional video that showcased the online casinos mobile capabilities. Using both Adobe AfterEffects and PhotoShop to create and animate bespoke assets and edit together a variety of game provider assets this project was very a very fun technical challenge with a very rewarding final product that is still today viewable in the footer section of the desktop version of the website.

Ivy Afilliates

3D artworking

Using 3D program blender, I recreated the existing Ivy Affiliates logo and after applying various colour and texture maps, I went on to export a few short videos that I used as intervals and transition clips in a larger video which I put together using AfterEffects and PremierPro to advertise and promote Ivy Affiliates as a company at the yearly conference events ICE and LAC. With the exception of the direct product clips, the longer video I created featuring the 3D logo can be found here.

solicitors journal

Editorial

Working as Junior Designer at Wilmington PLC's in-house publishing department ARK Group, it was my responsibility to liaise with the editors and writers to create Solicitors Journal, both the weekly publication as well as its quarterly counterparts and further assist the Senior Designer with the monthly publication Trade and Fortfaiting Review. Working directly along side the publishing team, the editors and the writers in an incredibly fast past environment, it felt very rewarding to go from a blank canvas flat plan to a full ready for publishing magazine each week.
